There's actually no hope for mankind, IMO. My greatest doubt is about wether it will be nature that will get rid of us, or ourselves. The dinosaurs died, whatever the fvck came before the dinosaurs also died, countless civilizations we probably don't know anything about also disappeared, and we are no better or more special than any of those. We didn't do anything special to deserve existing forever as a human race, and nature doesn't own us anything. All we can do is wait for the day we also become dust, and oohh, what a glorious day will it be, and it will be of no consequences whatsoever that we disappear.

It was always like that... "my country, civilization, religion is better than yours, and it is the right one, therefore you(the opposing forces) are evil and deserve to be exterminated. So let's enter a war, and create suffering and famines for people that couldn't care less about our conflict. Why? Because we are great, special, the children of god walking over this planet, and blah blah blah". It doesn't matter what they say, or what excuses they may give, at the root of all this lies the dualistic thinking of man, something the oh so smart and advanced, space exploring human race wasn't able to even scratch the surface of. As long as duality is there, the desire to kill, for control over others, burning lust and greed will be there. The ego loves misery, for itself and others.

So let them, let the boys play with their precious destructive weapons, let them make satellite laser beam attacks over some cities and kill millions, let them show the world how great and superior they are. There's nothing we can do other than watch the destruction and killing with a feeling of joyous amusement, knowing that the "human dream" is finally coming to an end.

We create by watching, by listening, by touching. The missile is there only when we look at it. It's not there when we don't look at it. But there is an interweave that complicates things. So many people had to engineer and build the missile that there is a build in a kind of durability, that let's it be there when you look. Independence is an illusion, but that's not really news... it's ALL illusion.

Had this cascade of interweaving metaphors reading your OP.  Something revolving around orbiting satellites, all pointed down at ourselves...like space mirrors.  Then, consider....keeping in mind the metaphor of man made satellites as orbiting self-reflecting mirrors....the Kessler Syndrome.  Notion of possible cascade of logarithmically (sp?) increasing field of debris orbiting earth as, inevitably, these orbiting mirrors smash into one another.  Already happened a bunch of times over the last 20 years or so...each collision creating a field of high speed shrapnel orbiting earth.



Each piece of shrapnel, shard of reflection.  Good metaphor of my orbiting debris field of ego reflection connections   It's impassable!  Nowhere to go but to stop transmitting and go inward, I guess.  IDK...metaphor kind of loses cohesion at this point

Yes!  LOL....so here's the funny thing about need for escape doomed planet motif.

Elon Musk, the champion of proposed Mission to Mars/terraforming endeavor....also the champion of, perhaps, moving the date closer for possible tipping point/inciting incident of logarithmic cascade associated with Kessler syndrome.  He's already launched his Starlink program, putting up 60 satellites for global internet service (more downward pointing mirrors).  He wants 1200 total up there whizzing around!

So, space race....weird counterpoint between creating an impassable orbiting debris field...and of creating a means to leave/escape what may become an increasingly, unbearable living space....Earth.  Real nail-biter 

Observing all this, yet trying to keep front and center the fact that, as you remind us/me.....it's ALL entertainment.  It's ALL a metaphor of our/my ego-state revolving around empty singularity.  Simultaneously trying to escape from yet being pulled in to...inevitability.
