Some of this suffering stems from a need to know but this human knowledge is unreal. Trying to find answers perpetuates the suffering. The idea of no answer is deeply unsatisfactory and maintains the cycle if this dissatisfaction is let back in. The quest for understanding seems futile.

Observing the feelings of suffering, I find there’s nothing there, they’re all empty and do not affect what I am. Knowing they cannot affect me allows me to let them be there and surrender to them.

I look at the shadow of me cast on and mixed into the world and know it’s not what I am. It’s an infiltrator.

It seems like the gears of the mind need to grind themselves to dust. Apparently painful but sitting in the middle of it I’m disappearing more day by day.

Watching mind; something which has no real existence look for things which don’t exist. An automated process with it’s own momentum begging to believed and it’s stories listened to.

Mind is something ‘other’ - a distraction and false.

But that’s the wrong direction, or maybe position.

Beingness is where it’s at. It’s just there. That which is aware with no objective quality and before any transient experience. Abide in it until no doubt remains, to realise it and become it.

This is where I am. So simple yet so slippery.

Slippery like a skating rink sprayed with WD40.

Cheers.

So a thought is identifying itself as a doer of things. Really? It can only comment on and claim ownership of something apparently done. By itself, it can do nothing other than make things up. This I that exists in mind has never actually done anything, ever.

And yet these thoughts believe in a thinker of thoughts but the thinker only exists as a thought. How can a thought think? Let me inspect that ... nope, it can’t.

Let me think of a response... o.k. got it.

All good questions, you are examining awareness closer and that's excellent.

Now back to non-thinking.

You always need to hear the next words spoken to you. Look and see, or better yet, listen.

The paradox is that further only takes you to where you are already. The need to continue on a journey is becoming an inhibitor as the journey (as described by the mind) isn’t true and never happened. The journey itself becomes an addiction. This is known and can only be truly know outside of mind. This is my experience-understanding-observation.

By realising that within which this mind appears is what I am.

Drop it.

Burn it out of existence in a furnace of attention.

See it for what it is.

Exist as the place from which it arises and starve it of attention.

All of the above.

At times there’s intense suffering but that’s ok. There’s a constant connection to something peaceful, empty and borderless which is what my attention is searching for to rest in and as.
