Post It Note #70

I appear to be bigger than than little 'I' a lot of the time. Little 'I' likes to be mischievous and create disturbances and distractions for the sake of attention and acts like he knows what's best for me. Little 'I' was really difficult to find yesterday afternoon and evening and there was peace and quiet in the house.

I look forward to little 'I' leaving my house as I can't see any benefit of him remaining here. He's just a ghost anyway. I can manage perfectly well on my own.

I'm sure there'll be a few more tantrums.

Back to cleaning my house and recognising the space within as what I am, not the transitory things seemingly present - it's so easy to mistake them for what I am.

Post It Note #71

As thoughts and feelings appear and disappear, there is a sense that I remain unaffected by it all.

Can anything really affect what I am?

Let me see ...

Understanding this seems to affect acceptance of whatever arises and subsides.

I observe it as it happens, feeling sensations as they arise in different locations knowing the sensations are not what I am.

Yes, thank you.

Post It Note #72

Round and round we go.

Can mind really change anything?

How can a thought affect what is real? It appears and disappears without a trace.

Can mind change what I am?

Everything I am doing is avoiding what I am.

I still identify with doing.

What am 'I' doing in all of this?

Post It Note #73

I notice mind becoming transparent again and see through it, watching images, thoughts and feelings overlaid on what is seen.

It contains meaning which isn't there.

This isn't watching mind, it's seeing through mind.

Observation: this seems easier to discern when there is no mental narrative.

As soon as that has been observed, mental chatter dies down and attachment to thought is lessened with a distinct ease following.

In this state it becomes very difficult to make any sort of progress because it is so calm and relaxed.

I seem to be complaining. I'll just enjoy it and see what happens ... that's the point after all.

Post It Note #74

I see thoughts creating meaning. There is no meaning to anything, even thoughts themselves - that is becoming clear.

Even words on a page are losing meaning in the context of reality.

I can already feel how liberating a life with no meaning would be.

Post It Note #75

Concepts and words are woven into the fabric of illusion and prevent pure experience. They are meaningless and empty.

The I in mind along with everything attached to it is meaningless and empty.

How can truth be perceived with this in the way?

It can't.

Post It Note #76

This me is a dream, an actual dream. I am asleep.

The reason I believe it all is because I am still asleep.

There is only a dreamt me sitting here.

Blimey ...

What is this that dreams?

In what does this dream arise?

In what do all things arise?

This feels like chasing a pea around a plate with a knife sometimes.

Thank you, I have injected those.

Post It Note #78

I have been watching a movie starring me overlaid on reality. The me is an imagined character with a script which appears to be pre-written. My whole life has been a soap opera.

There seems to be an overlap with 'mind' and 'body' reinforcing the believability of it all.

The me is not what I am.

It's all been said before but when you start to actually see through it, it's a different matter altogether.

Once again I get a sense that the whole of this mind-body script is predetermined and no control can be exerted.

There is always a sense of space and calmness when something is realised.

Post It Note #79

How can I perceive myself?

Nothing perceivable is what I am.

Am I really nothing?

I have no idea where I am or what I am. I just know that I am. Not even I am, just am.

What is am? All there is 'here' is am-ness.

I already am am-ness.

What am I looking for?

... to avoid this am-ness.
