Dear Abu:
Thank you and welcome. So, I have to come down hard on you.
I like as much precision as possible in my communications. You titled your subject as containing a 'question'. Yet all you did was talk about 'your' experiences.
Most people do this, they say, 'I have a question' and then they spend the next hour sharing their opinions. 'I wonder... ' is not a question. It's a statement. The only question there is really the unspoken one of 'Will you listen to my b.s. for the next hour?'
So what if your wondering about this or that. I don't care.
If you have a question, I'll do my best to answer it. It must start with 'who, what, where, when, why or how' and have a question mark at the end of it. Ridiculously simple, but so few people seem to be able to grasp that. Anyone who answers a 'wondering' as it if was a question just takes both parties further into the illusion that some communication has occurred.
I probably sound a little bitchy here but clarity of thinking goes a long way to working out the b.s. and moving into adulthood. Because we mostly think with language, the precision is an important point that I see few folks getting.
I don't care if you wish to write a story, and I don't care if you have a question. I do seem to care (don't know why) about the clarity of your communication.
Don't make such a big deal about the vine. Find out who you are first, that's the only worthwhile goal anyone can have in my opinion. But that's just my opinion.
Love ya, Jed. (And thanks for your presumed 'good sport' attitude, as you know this has nothing to do with you.)
