A consideration and question
« on: September 26, 2014, 06:27:13 am »
One thing I have been thinking about recently is when I retire and return to the US that I visit Peru on the way back and spend some time with Ayahuasca.   For the past 10 years I have been going yearly to Peru to do just this - only the last several times "she" has been very clearly telling me that for me (addressing my reasons for visiting with her) there was no longer any need to visit with her as all that was needed to complete "my journey" was available in my world with living (and dead) persons.  The knowledge needed was available without her.

This message lead me to a number of directions and places.  I would say the most fruitful directions were the books of Nisargadatta, Carse, Jed's books, and spending some time with Sailor Bob.  All of this has brought me to now - where (in a nutshell) I know all is excreted (somehow) from an unchanging void of awareness.   This would include not only the world I see before me (through this mind/body) but also the amazing and astonishing worlds and dimensions of Ayahuasca which seem to be something beyond the familiar mind/body.   And this is the point - with this understanding and "knowing" of what it all about to once again (if I can screw up the courage once again - HAHAHA!!!) to enter the Ayahuasca world.  I sit here thinking that ALL should be (is) contained within that "emptiness suffused with awareness", including the astonishing Aya worlds.  I feel drawn to enter these worlds again with this understanding and see what happens.  (Despite the profound and life altering experiences she given me - after all she sent me off on this path, she has also dragged through a lot of amazingly hellish places - BUT I wonder if somehow things may "somehow" now be different with her.)

Dear Abu:

Thank you and welcome. So, I have to come down hard on you.

I like as much precision as possible in my communications. You titled your subject as containing a 'question'. Yet all you did was talk about 'your' experiences.

Most people do this, they say, 'I have a question' and then they spend the next hour sharing their opinions. 'I wonder... ' is not a question. It's a statement. The only question there is really the unspoken one of 'Will you listen to my b.s. for the next hour?'

So what if your wondering about this or that. I don't care.

If you have a question, I'll do my best to answer it. It must start with 'who, what, where, when, why or how' and have a question mark at the end of it. Ridiculously simple, but so few people seem to be able to grasp that. Anyone who answers a 'wondering' as it if was a question just takes both parties further into the illusion that some communication has occurred.

I probably sound a little bitchy here but clarity of thinking goes a long way to working out the b.s. and moving into adulthood. Because we mostly think with language, the precision is an important point that I see few folks getting.

I don't care if you wish to write a story, and I don't care if you have a question. I do seem to care (don't know why) about the clarity of your communication.

Don't make such a big deal about the vine. Find out who you are first, that's the only worthwhile goal anyone can have in my opinion. But that's just my opinion.

Love ya, Jed. (And thanks for your presumed 'good sport' attitude, as you know this has nothing to do with you.)
