So I've read through a lot of stuff... went through most of the Seth books in my 20's & 30's (really like those!), found Abraham Hicks and a lot of similar stuff in my late 40's... then started coming across Jed stuff and burned through the whole trilogy quickly (couldn't put it down)... and I find that a lot of the things I've been reading since then are quite similar; Lester Levenson (precursor to the Sedona Method), Robert Scheinfeld (Busting Loose from the Money Game), several books and recordings by Eckhart Tolle, Pointers From Nisargadatta, and last but not least, A Course in Miracles; I'm sure there are some others too, but you get the point.

My new job has me driving an hour each way daily, so I listen to ACIM on audiobook and feel as though my ego-self is being chastised by Jesus Christ ("Bad Ego!, Bad Bad BAD EGO!!").

I feel as though physical existence is a giant dream we will all wake from at some point... but I'm guessing, and I wonder what is next.

Dear Ambrose:

Thank you for your post. You don't state any question so there is nothing I can address.

If you have a question, let me know.

Love ya, Jed.

I love the banner ads here for the "Silva Mind Control Method"... read that when I was in my late teens/early twenties I think...

Okay, so if I had a question it would be: How do I absolve myself of form?

Dear A:

What do you mean by absolve. Who is it that needs absolving? What is form and what do you think absolving will do for you?

I know, it all sounds like guru b.s., but you question is incredibly vague and, well... I just don't understand it.

I too did silva, but I think that was about a thousand years ago.

Love ya, Jed.

I hate formalities: It is my understanding that I am a physical body in a physical reality, thinking thoughts, making judgments about what comes my way etc. Absolving oneself of form is a process through which the ego is dissolved, and awareness of truth results. How can the unreal be more than vague?

O.K. Sounds like a plan, how will it be accomplished.

okay... now I get it... the invisible guru...

The plan is: divestiture of all ideas/thoughts/beliefs/identification with a body/separation from environment/etc... you know, the usual suspects.

Dear Alambrose:

Got it. It's not a minor accomplishment. Tell me, in your own words, how you are going to achieve it.

Love ya, Jed.

Well, aside from physical death, which I guess would be instant liberation; the alternative plan is stuck in time, and guided by that which would resist it's own demise. Any plan would have to include a systematic and persistent effort to undo what has been done. Looking at what had previously been believed to be real, and recognizing it as a thought or idea, a literal fabrication of mind. The examining and undoing of all thoughts.

I really hope this enlightenment thing doesn't interfere with my plans to learn how to play guitar. I've already invested in a nice guitar and just started talking lessons.

Dear Alam:

Admirable plan admiral. But a plan is just a plan. Results lie in doings, so maybe you do this...

To every thought, judgement or belief that arises you just follow it with another thought, ie., that's just another story. Every thought is just a story about something or other. Call it what it is. As you know, a story is just a story, until you believe it. That is what puts you into illusion, living in your stories. Call them up on their b.s. but be gentle. Do it when you can remember and eventually it will become a habit. Let me know how you are doing.

I haven't forgotten how to play guitar, so this is unlikely to interfere with your learning, may even help.

Love ya, Jed.
