Jed,
Ever wonder if this whole enlightenment thing is an evolutionary mechanism geared toward keeping the individual from committing suicide or to otherwise allow them to cope with severe stress?

So many folks find their way into TR via extreme suffering ot suicidal ideation. I'm curious about your thoughts on this.

Hi there:

You make an interesting point. Yes, contentment seldom leads to growth or expansion in any endevour.

That point,of being totally fed up, is wonderful in my experience and observation.

Survival  ??? ??? well it seems like there are more than enough of us on the planet to keep things moving right along, so does that mean that the number of ''seekers'' will diminish? Let's see....

Love ya, Je.

Ya, I remeber hating my own hatred. Like you say, I couldn't stand to be a lie.

I'm gonna rephrase my question, but just the once.

Have you considered that TR might be a function of the psyche?

The only valuable answer for you is to find out for yourself... but first of all, what do you mean  by Psyche? Find one for me and then let's talk further.

Love ya, Jed.

But I've already made it to what you call TR, (and what I call the nothing/everyrhing) you've just thought about it harder than me, and with a better brain.

Ok, ok, so you're totally right! Psyche is just another word for self, isn't it. Alright, a third attempt then... here i go:

Have you considered that TR might be facilitated by the brain/mind. If a "massive head wound" is capable of discontinueing TR, doesn't that mean that TR is "within" the brain/mind?

Could TR be a hallucination? Another level of the dreamstate? A psychological adaptation not unlike multiple personlaity disorder (disassociative disorder)?  A way for the mind to deal with massive stress and/or suicidal ideation?

A mind could never be free, even if it existed... but you know that.
