Morning Jed,
I took a few months off the stick to the insides of my brain and listen to its syrupy stories about how I need this and don’t want that. Kinda a silly move but that’s how it goes. But destiny or whatever is still showing the real more and more clearly. Today I had the clear insight that the world and my mind/body are just all the same phenomena. Attention is the conduit that I feel connects me to this phenomenological projection of the human experience game. Sometimes the attention gets sucked right into it. Other times truth is spoken from people like you and it’s recognised (or rather life is becoming really obvious about revealing it’s true nature and keeps plopping truth paintings in my human experience) OR it just happens I see the phenomena of life as just what is happening. There is no doer in this scenario just projected events. But mind used to trick me by making memories seem like a real thing that happened on a timeline to give an impression of continuity. And hopes for the future did the same thing. But they are just cognitions. I am like floating attention, with no decision maker. There seems to be an intelligence to what this attention is tho inspite of its intangibility. It’s like there is a void behind this most basic form of attention that I’m able to detect. Have you realised this void? Is it where I will go “further”? Maybe it has no agenda and some random mechanism makes the projection play out as it does. But I do wonder if in this void there is a direction

.... a direction in a void??? Just go there, do it, realize it and then you will have a better answer than I could ever give you.

Love ya, Jed.

Yeah I kind of did later yesterday. It’s like prior to thought. Just peace. All well and good but without thinking and desire I just sit there like I’ve had a lobotomy and then eventually I get bored and go back to making plans to get the carrot and the end of the stick. Are these my two options? Lobotomy or chasing the carrot? Neither really appeals for Long

Find the ''you'' that thinks you have options.

So everything “in the material universe” is phenomena appearing in me. The edge of my experience is the edge of the manifestation of my consciousness all of it occurring in me as me. The indescribable inverse state beyond the phenomenal manifestation is the shadow of me??? It can be half conceptualized by the mind as I am trying to do now. But it doesn’t really matter that too is just phenomena in the manifestation trying to define the undefinable. The realm which not manifest is without definition it is only what is not manifest therefore can be everything and anything and no thing; or rather the  real self is me and it is everything and also it’s inverse. There is nothing that is not me. The body mind is just a pivot point for the unmanifest to view the manifest. The body mind is like a lens or a window or an appeture in a camera. But I am not only the lens nor the film and camera mechanism prior to the lens nor the flower being photographed I am all of it. I am the entirety in which all events are happening. It’s just an apparent release from the focus of the body mind and the true self that is everything becomes apparent.

The body mind is still sticky tho. Flashes of truth are becoming apparent. But still identification with th body mind happens.

I’m pretty clear in contemplation my attachment to the body mind is loosening and it’s no more significant than all of the phenomena going on in this sphere of experience. But then I hear that I am prior to consciousness too. Like the unmanifest? I can see how everything in my experience is actually me. I guess the viewer of that is the inverse of the manifest, but it cannot be viewed like I can view the manifest. I guess it’s like how you can’t see your own head. Or you don’t detect what it feels like to be well until you are sick.

When the body/mind is doing little in the way of activity then consciousness without attachment to the body mind is more apparent (apparent isn’t quite the right word though its more like undifferentiated consciousness is what is happening). When the bodymind is triggered into an involved action then  the awareness of consciousness reduces to pretty much an undetectable background noise. Can you say something on this? It’s like true reality gets sucked back into the contraction of human form.

I'm not completely clear on your language, but I hallucinate that I understand. I suggest you stick with what you are doing until you realize that the mind body never does anything .... ever. Then you can be in said ''consciousness'' all the time, or more accurately, realize that is where you have always been.

Good work, just stick with it.

Love ya, Jed.

I don’t get all this “be present” “the power of now stuff” I been circling around this stuff for 17 years. I’ve never been “no mind” for anymore than a few seconds. I’m always getting sucked back into my head and nothing ever changes. I’m so sick of my thoughts they are almost all negative and there is no joy left in my life. Any tips to get off this stupid game?
