Talks #1 have started thinking
« on: August 30, 2018, 01:03:04 pm »
Hi Jed,
Iíve come to read your latest book (Talks #1). And it has started me thinking.
Well, IĎve catched the message, that itís absolute pointless trying to achieve T/R (or better to say UnT/UnR).
Itís funny, you say you would be surprised if there are more than 30 or 40 enlightened people in the world. So isnít it a great big joke that so many people are trying to achieve what is almost unachievable? Who seduced me to even think about such a pursuit?
Maya is really adorable, which means this program unfolding before our eyes (Brahmanís eyes) is brilliant without any doubt.
Brahman playing Avatar, no, getting played by his own timeless consciousness.

So what are we doing here on this forum? Suddenly it looks like another trick of Maya to keep people from committing suicide by telling them there is something to achieve. And thatís perfect, ok. As the german writer Hermann Hesse once wrote: ĄLife does not get flat, stupid and boring if you try to achieve an ideal but by thinking you have to achieve itď. Stay hungry!
Well, now that thinking has started Iím wondering: How does this forum fit together with the books? Is this forum a trial getting a message through to the little bastard within, or merely a clever distraction from it (a safeguard if the spiritual marketplace fails trying to save persistent ego from a pointless path of self-destruction)?
You wrote: ĄIn my experience, virtually all spiritual seekers insist on looking without for what lies within. Thatís why students are never qualified to ask questions and why I stopped playing the teacher role.ď
So why now go on teaching?
(sorry if I wrote to much).

Hi Parsley:

Welcome to the forum and you raise some good point.

First off, never, ever believe anything another person (including me) tells you. Always go and find out for yourself. Words issued from other dream character's mouth are just more dream material. They might point and be useful, and might not, but always test for yourself. Have you ever said, ''I love you'' when you were not thinking exactly that? How about I hate you when you were simply angry? Maybe you said, ''Good morning, how are you'' when you could not have cared less about the person and would rather they just go away.

Why does it seem that so many folks seek ''this'' and so few achieve/realize it? Most folks don't really want T/R, they are not willing to give up all their stories, pain, self-justification and various other things which are so important to them.

Keep in mind that there is no such thing as a non-fiction book. Libraries might try to tell you there is, but once a word is written down or spoken it is subject to the interpretation of the recipient... and then the fiction become obvious to an evolved viewer.

There is not me here to teach anyone there... there is no one their... just a collection of dream characters in their pain arguing for their limitation.... and, of course, everyone is a both a teach and a student all the time.

You mind is continually seeking security, consistency and continuity.... and your mind is never going to find it... but that doesn't stop it until it stop... someday. The answer to your ''why'' questions are always the same, 'because' or 'it seemed like a good idea at the time'. You, or I, can make up reasons but because they are made up, they are.... made up. Made up reasons are completely fluff. From now own, try answering everybodies ''why'' questions with ''because'' and then watch how their mind start churning up reasons.... all b. s. Perhaps well intentioned, but just silly.

What are you seeking? Let me guess. You want to have a happy life without pain or sorrow... is that true? If you don't have that now, I can tell you exactly why (hmmm.) no, not because, but because of your mind.

Never, ever, expect people, especially me, to be consistent or reasonable. I am neither and no one else is either, but precious few realize that.

The books filter out contenders from pretenders, the forum takes that further and then perhaps they join me on a one on one basis in the Nav Series.... it's a little like a funnel. Why do it this way... you already know the answer.

Love ya, Jed.

I do agree with your comments, not because you convinced me, but 'because'.  ;)

Seeking a happy life without pain and sorrow?
What is happiness? It's relative, depending on all the debris in the mind. Is it the orgasm or the calm after the orgasm, or the urge to get more or the peace of letting go?
Even my stupid mind accepts, that the best way to get unhappy is the pusuit of happiness. It's a trap, it simply does not work. I miss the point trying to control emotions.

These days my damaged health is pushing me to seek for solutions. But it's getting obvious that it's all about death. Death of dreams, hopes, plans, stories, status, trophys; death of the illusion to think I am this guy who I thought I am for so long.
Have I really thought this? How can that be if I (ego-self) do not really exist.

On some other topic you recommended to sit down, relax, breathe and let myself die with all these imaginations of future and past and what I have won or achieved and what I have lost or missed.
Is there any better practice? I don't think so.
This just happens to "me" whether I want it or not. It's painful, of course. But it looks like Maya has cancelled its support to throw me back into the race.

Sounds like you are doing fine, except for the pain. You might want to ask who the pain is occurring to. Go as deep as you can.

Love ya, Jed.

I appreciate your short focused answers, always pointing at 'who does it occur to?'
It's the mind thinking that me and the stories are true.
Fortunately not in my case because 'I' reached the point of having enough of chasing illusions. No resistance anymore that it's all burning down. There goes this illusive Me, bye bye. What is lost? Nothing.
So who's the mind thinking there's a person with pain?
A patch in the program. Maya.
I am. Infinite. Not the person, but the no-one wearing the person (all persons) to act like someone (billions of ones).
Oh oh, sounds like: "Teacher, teacher, am I right?" :-)
Who cares?

You have always been right in everything you have ever said or done... to bad, there is no such thing as ''right''.

Yes, of course. These days I get reminders from all around to leave it behind being fixed on feelings. They come they go, same as with thoughts, no good or bad.
This person that I am wearing (belonging to this phenomenal story) was very attached to emotional memories. But now when the question arises: Suffer or delete all?,  the answer is already there: Delete!
It's relieving to lose myself to get back home to the unleavable ocean. It's all a matter of fantastical identification. What is lost when I (as this human being) is dead. The movie is over. Next one. Further!

The events where deleted the moment they occurred. It's the mind that keeps all the b.s. alive. I suggest letting go, but that is just noise. It is all already gone.

You have really a talent to put it short and simple in a nutshell (correct saying?). Thank you.
So it's the mind that's creating b.s. by keeping alive which is already gone. Stupid habit.
Mind catched, mind crashed.
