Jed, in the trilogy you wrote that you hate mysteries so you tracked them down and destroyed them. How come I didn't destroy any mysteries?  Why am I finding everything single damn thing a mystery and there's no real way to debunk anything? Even death, the one thing one supposedly can be completely certain of, is just another part of the unbroken unknownness.

What do you think is found at the end of all mysteries?

Love ya, Jed.

I'm so discontent with everything. I'm desperate for any trace of happiness but when it actually comes I fear so much about losing it that it becomes an even more unpleasant experience. What do I know? I know nothing.

Simply stop trying to do anything. Then see what arises.

"Not doing anything" as you said engages the angsty, existential depression prone side (Why even get out of bed if there's no meaning at all?)

When the factor of a existing greater purpose is removed all sorts of questions arise:
Are we no different than the very basic organisms?
"The meaning of life" is simply biological self preservation and genetic replication?
Escaping from pain, craving for pleasure, so that is all?
Why do anything?

Yes, there's no purpose, no meaning, no reason at all in why we do the things we do. Yes, I don't know anything else than I AM. Yes, technically the idea of a separate self, a doer, is all in all an idea only. Yes, technically there's no me but things occuring on their own. But...?

Yes, "biological self preservation" "genetic replication" "escaping from pain, craving for pleasure" are still concepts, rationalizations in the mind. because I can't deal with not knowing. I believe a "grip" on reality through rationalizing is what keeps people sane, when it's probably the definition of insanity in the context of H/A. What do I have to do to let go?

Yes, my definition of sanity is pretty much the antithesis of society's.

What can you do. How can ''żou'' do anything when you are just a character in a dream. It's not even ''your'' dream, it's ''Your'' dream, and that ''Your'' is much different from what you think it is.

Between the infinite stretch of past and future there lies the void of "now", something one can never come to terms of. What is it, anyway?

The thought "what is awareness, anyway?" crossed my mind on the flight today. Then I rephrased it into  "What is not awareness" which provided some interesting insights but equally unsatisfying since it's one of the questions with no answer. Do you think you've ever really had an "answer" about anything? Great, finishing up with another unanswerable question.

Another superficially unrelated observation/dissatisfaction, why am I so insistent on making myself miserable? Why is every answer wrong?

By that I mean, please give me an answer satisfying enough so that I'll be somewhat content from the time I sent the reply to some time after I read yours. Which has shortened to around 1-3 seconds (not about you, it apparently applies to everything. I'm very fun at parties. An anxious insecure cynic ready to jump up and attack. )

Nope, find your own contentment, and then I suggest you discard it.

I've been having random episodes of this sensation of all words losing their meaning. It is hard to describe but I hear them as purely sounds instead of the expressions they represent. It sets the part of me aware of this happening into instant panic.

Panic is good, I highly endorse it. Take it on until you explode.

Question - if someone were to see God/Truth/the inexpressible, they must give up everything they imagine to be about themselves?
