Have you listened to Charles Bukowski read his poem “ The Laughing Heart”?  It is inspiring and profoundly moving and perhaps a shove for some. I know no links but this is worth the risk:

It’s too much Jed. There is too much. I’m siffocating beneath the avalanche and I cannot fight just one thing. When I look through the Now open door I see a multitude. And I am overwhelmed.

And sometimes I’m not sure if I have done the work. I’m not even sure that when I do the work that the thing is truly dead.

Would love any thoughts.

Try to give up control... but only very little at a time. I think this is a biggie for you.

Order coffee and give up control... if it comes hot, fine, if it is cold, find, if it tastes like you know what, fine... and if it never comes, fine.

After coffee work you way up to life.

Robert Pirsig seems to have had first hand experience with this.

I am letting go. Funny thing is letting go appears to be an abdication; that is, a passive thing. I’m finding it the opposite. It is an active process...first of recognition.

It occurred to me in the middle of the night last night, when I got up to pee, that before I became lucent I (the person) was not. It wasn’t until my memories came back to me that I “remembered” who I was. I realized in an experiential way that this is always the case. I am who I am because of what I remember about myself. That is all of who I believe I am. Seems so obvious intellectually. But i am grateful to have experienced it.
