Waking Up
« on: February 24, 2018, 11:55:37 pm »
I am pretty sure I have made the First Step; a large chunk of my self fell away about 2 months ago, including much of my social self. I'd just like some clarification on the SA method: the goal is to try to write something true, but Julie in the books seems to have spent much of her time just emotionally purging. Is SA  about writing just what needs to be said, then?

Hi William:

Welcome to the forum and thank you for your question. One of the big challenges with S/A is that it's deceptively simple.

Write out something that you think is true, and then ask if it is true... really true. I could start with my simple experience in this moment.

I am sitting in a restaurant at the moment waiting for my lunch to be served. Is that true... is there a me? Well... I need to look closer at that.

So, in that simple observation is enough for one to contemplate for days, weeks, months... it's really all you need.

Of course it will get boring, that's just your mind defending itself. Eventually you will think you are going crazy when you are actually going sane.

Simple but not easy... otherwise many would have go it by now.

Love ya, Jed.

I am going to keep going until I am dead :). Right now, I'm busily chipping away at all my non-dual philosophy I've acquired through you, watts, spira, and others. The finger pointing at the moon is just an experience, and the moon is too! What the hell are experiences occurring within?! and how could i know truth, if i'm just an experience within the truth? :).

Have you heard of people having success with transmissions?
I got RASA a couple times but I don’t think it did anything. (If the rules forbid posting products my bad, but it’s relevant cause I don’t wanna go down a stupid rabbit hole if it doesn’t work).

Don't waste your time on ''transmission''.

To escape the nondual paradigm in favor of actually being nondual (lol), I gotta root out my identity as a logical/rational person.

When did first notice myself trying understand reality through logic, and why is the logical approach so unsatisfactory?

Dear Will:

You asked:

When did first notice myself trying understand reality through logic, and why is the logical approach so unsatisfactory?

I'm sure you can come up with a better question than that.... give it a try.

Love ya, Jed.

A couple of points arise... how can you approach what you are and second... whose logic is one using. I am quite confident that there my logic is quite different than others.

Cheers.

Please do not post on another's thread. Start you own and stick to it.

Thanks in advance.

It’s a destructive logic. Not theoretical.
Currently burning away at terminal velocity.
Now I KNOW that was the First Step back in November.

Oh my God.
Oh my God,
Fear— this is the only fear... fear of this.
Everything anyone is afraid of, they’re afraid of it because it’s inching them closer to this...
holy ****!!!!

There was always a curtain before. Something for the fear to hide behind. Too much of me is gone- there’s no more curtain. There’s only the fear.
How to go further!?

Do it or don't, it's just a decision.
