'Me' is a belief formed in childhood, accompanied by bovine stupor. If 'me' is an illusion, then the question 'What is me?' simplifies to 'What is?'.

And special thanks to "Fritz" for leading "me" to this post even though "he" doesn't know this :)

No, I did not know that. But, my pleasure, I'm sure. (or am I?) ;D

Being new here and seeing this pop up I found the original post and tried the practice a few times going back and forth from creating the perceiver of the percieved to just perceiving.  I am an excellent student! <-- me making a temporary self :D

Without the attempt to differentiate a self, sounds and feeling of openness and gratitude intensified  (Like sticking my head out of an open window as opposed to looking through the window pane.)  Unattached to a me definition, thinking becomes another ingredient in a swirling soup of perception.

As my focused moved outward my sense of having a body disolved and sensation merged into the perception soup.  Whatever is focused on intensifies and whatever else seems present goes to a fuzzy periphery or disappears from perception - this seems obvious... that's how focus works.

Very cool technique.  I did this for about 15 minutes and look forward to playing with it some more.

Thanks for giving me that image of a drooling dog hanging out that care window. My morning smile.

Love ya, Jed.

This was interesting to revisit.  I remember lying in my bed as a kid (maybe 10 or 12) and having these sensations come up seemingly out of nowhere.  Feeling extremely large or extremely small.  Unfortunately I didn’t have any of this framework to reference back then but I recall thinking that the experience was a lot bigger than “me”.  This time around, it was less intense but more profound if that makes any sense

I kept plugging away at it, and finally got the sense I was the room. Really cool, dude! Not so much an out-of-body experience as a 'wait, what's a body?' experience. Thank you <3
