I see this vision of a spinning blade.....rotating on its long axis. Plunged through the vertex of my head down through my gaping a55hole. It is the sharpest of sharp two-edged swords.
On the one side, cutting through brings the sheer awe and joy of being stripped down to a dust mote's perspective.....the only vantage point from which to see the most abstract representation of reality.....the infinite empty-scape of yawning, echoing, rippling textured darkness...through which an impossibly infinite array of threads of multicolored light stream, collaborate, interplay. Affection of intelligence so utterly vast and unfathomable. The ultimate source of heart-rending beauty. I'm but a naked, dilated eye.....filled and splitting/sweating-bleeding with pure awe....and love/appreciation/gratitude stripped of the limits of human moorings.
On the other side, cutting through means a merciless strike to the indurated, angst-thickened gristle of my exposed posterior neck. The Gordian Knot. The beheading of the Troglodyte....is a graceless, squealing blood-bath. What a squirming, braying, noisy mess. Even the executioner cringes in disgust as the murky creature pulls away at the last moment, denying the satisfaction of a clean and final blow.
Fck it! It goes as it does into inevitability. There'll be no warrior's tales of this forgotten foot soldier....who turned and ran only to be cut down by the enemy anyways. Pointless.
It doesn't matter.....down the hole I go, having slipped off the crumbling edge in spite of back-peddling hesitation. Apologies for the diminishing screams.
