Brief note from Jed
« on: October 06, 2014, 05:04:19 am »
Regarding my various rants that appear as jed threads, I invite comment on these. You are all doing an excellent job of focusing and just keep at it. This focusing push is very important and I encourage everyone to remind themselves, perhaps 'Further... focus... further... focus... further... '

For example you might say 'that reminds me of something you said on blah blahs thread' but don't follow it up with 'so I think blah blah needs a cerebral laxative'. You might follow it up with 'I had a violent reaction to this rant and took a vow to never wear a poppy on Remembrance Day because it contains traces of opium and I am against narcotics'.

Am I making sense???? Comments welcome.

Love ya, Jed.

Don't worry Ching. It really has no meaning other than silliness. You didn't miss anything.

Love ya, Jed.

In most forums it is preferred that people look for existing threads to comment in, and only start new threads for things that don't already exist on the forum. The exception is when the threads that are already present have not been active in several months. Just as an example, it would not make sense for all of us to start our own thread about something as basic and common as self inquiry. Yes, it does make sense that we should all be encouraged to participate in the rant threads.

Every forum is different, though, which was why I started reading through the Notices section first. It might have been helpful to explain there that we are not supposed to intrude on each others threads for the most part.

In the first book I remember reading that everyone in the house in Fairfield knew the SA method, but that new people never started doing it just from having it described by other guests. I'd probably be the same way, in that I would want to receive the instructions directly from the founder of the method. While waiting, however, I'd like to think I would start writing to avoid wasting time. It is the same way here. I bet there are lots of people who know the books better than I do, and hearing from them would be useful.

Thank you for establishing this "jed rants board". I always wish there could be a list of them so to save some effort of finding them in massive member rants ocean. A significate step of forum evolvement.

Everything is special, and I feel waking up, that specialness is seen clearly, with no one having more or less. Did I convey what Im reluctant to say btw Jed.

I really need to know, if I am going to become enlightened, should I or should I not wear a poppy on remembrance day? (I have no previous experience with rememberence day that I can remember but I do have several poppy experiences if you would like me to recount them)  I don't want to get my energy stuck on this and I'm starting to feel stuck so Please answer before the second of Octember.  Time is running out.  I am dying right now.  This very second.
