Creates the illusion of momentum. It could be put on pause for a thousand years and we would never notice. When the current frame executes there is no memory. What we perceive as memory is always frames that have executed. The illusion of now or this moment is a part of the time illusion.
Agin I have to edit to clarify: It is not actually the frame that execute. It is the program that executes and creates the state transition from the current frame to the next frame.
