I do like a lot the movie Andrej Rublev from Andrej Tarkovskij. There are some YouTube links but it is better to see Tarkovskij work on bigger screen and as well it seems like a good idea to have bigger contextual knowledge - not only of Tarkovskij style but as well of Andrej Rublev time and work. It is not movie to be understood on the first time watching. The reason I like it is Very personal. I have seen it in the samé year when I was unofficialy accepted on academy of fine arts when i was turningsixteen - they could not accept me because the law did not support skipping the high school ať that time. I was Very desilusioned by the art world back than, maybe samé as i am now with the spiritual world. I really love this scene where the guy who did the bell tell to the Rublev (i think) “he did not give me any secret, he took it to his grave” ( not exact quotation , did not see the movie for years); and the old men tells him: “enough,it was enough”, hugging him while the guy cries. But there are many layers of this movie. I am painting and drawing (or I specialized ať this) so it is amazing to see the Rublev coloristic work. I feel Very sad by all those waves of postconceptualism, reminds me the fakeness in spirituality — people who do not know how to draw a line or circle and they are superimportant. Rublev know ať least those basics, how to draw a line or circle and much much more - so impermanent, fragile, yet untouchable work. And the proces how Rublev was ať first under the infouence of his teacher and how he switched.... but he was not at least lacking the humility and the basics of craft...Even how the Tarkovskij is speaking about this movie is Very interesting. Sorry if its too long what I write. Its Very contemplative movie. Its not easy to understand ať first...
