Jed,

Very poignant reply.

Makes sense to gather external view points for a complete view.  I'm on it ;D
There is no complete point of view. Just points of view, all completely empty.
You know yourself vicariously through others. All illusion.
The show must go on though.

When I want to find out what others think of me, I just look to see what I'm experiencing with others. If you ask them, its hard for them to be honest to your face because they don't understand why they feel as they do. Plus they don't want to run the risk of being wrong or sounding like a hypocrite. Your flaws is their flaws and they know it - kinda like "it takes one to know one".

I can go down the list with everyone that's in my life: E.g.: If I experience my mother as kind and loving, then I'm kind and loving to her; similarly, if I experience my coworker as arrogant and rude, then I'm arrogant and rude to my coworker. I'm being what I experience and vice versa.

Anyway, it's subtle and can be easily dismissed as personality traits or flaws, but when I question my motives, I can see it's me pulling the strings.

So, maybe we can measure our selves by measuring our experiences, our environment, our pain, joy, etc.?

This is by no means an absolute measure as that would be pretty much impossible. But it did cause you to reflect a little which is part of my goal, a secret goal.

Love ya, Jed.

Dear Jed, this is JulianG according to:

FRIEND1(old one): Noble, humble, good friend and loyal. Open minded, you changed a lot because you were very closed and resentful in the past. Overprotective of your loved ones. Now you seem opened for new discoveries.

FRIEND2(new one): Very intelligent, has good memory, respectful, responsible, you’re a cold person, hard-hearted, undemonstrative and do not mind small details.

WIFE: special, creative, smart and honest. Loving (when you want to), respectful, responsible. A little unsure of himself and that doesn`t allow you to take risks most of times. There is unconscious inner anger for what you want to have but have not. You’re always searching for new things and wanting to be a better person.

SISTER IN LAW: decided, serious, good friend, good adviser, egocentric, joker, faithful, educated, sensitive. You were a sour person before but not now as you have changed.

I tried my best to find a good match in English for the Spanish words and concepts. Also asked all of them to be as honest as possible........

Quite an interesting experience.... "I" wear a different mask with every different person and at the same time they were wearing their own masks while talking or writing to "me" all of the above descriptions. Also I felt resistance and some anxiety towards what they would say or write to me. Now I don't care that much........ flaws? skills? traits? weaknesses? coming from changing masks??....."you're changing"?? changing masks?? :P

Dear J:

Thank you for taking the initiative and doing something on your own. I do like that, but.... measuring H/A requires two specific questions. Both of them you missed, and it has to be graphed out, but all is not lost. I'm sure you learned from your little adventure.

Love ya, Jed.

Hey, wait... you didn't ask me what I think of you... oh well... ???

I see you as little black squiggles and lines on an off-white background in a rectangular shaped window run by and Intel Core I5, elegant without being pushy.

Love ya, Jed.

I asked my daughter what trait she sees in me that I don't see myself and she said I do not know how angry I am sometimes.

( actually she said I do not know how angry I look sometimes).

I didn't ask friends and family what they think of me... The last thing I need is more people telling me I'm Special.  ::)
