Jed rant on fluffy language.
« on: November 07, 2014, 03:46:24 am »
Dear Members:

Our communication regarding H/A and T/R can range from the very abstract stream of consciousness to the precise. It can be very challenging to communicate personal experiences. Often it easiest to just ramble without much thought going into it. Having more choice is always better than less choice in my experience. There are four principle components of a conversation, you can make:

1.) a question,
2.) an assertion,
3.) a declaration, and
4.) a promise.

Your assignment is to define each and give me an example. Look forward to hearing back, now put on that thinking cap.

Love ya, Jed

definitions:
1. a question is what happens when i don't know, but would like to know
2. an assertion is what happens when i think i know
3. a declaration is what happens when i think i know, and think that what i think i know is significant
4. a promise is what happens when i imagine a future and i think i have some degree of control in its unfolding.

examples:
1. what is the root of the tree of good and evil?
2. 'i', i am the root
3. i am the root
4.

**interesting, it seems i'm devoid of promise.

Alright let's try this:

A question can be seen as further. It is the interaction within the dream.

Marry me?

An assertion is often attached with positive sensations. The extra cocaïne sniff.

Yes I will!

A declaration is when the illusion gets determinedly convinced that a dog is a dog.

I will now announce you two husband and wife.

A promise is a beautiful wish, or hope, just to feel at ease. Which is never ever true.

With this ring attached on your finger I promise to stay loyal and filthy rich.

Love you  :-*

This is my take.

a question, assertation, declaration and promise.

I dont really get much the difference between assertation and declaration other that maybe the declaration is written, thanks to the utter uselsessness of knowledge on internet when you try to get to the bottom of stuff.

I see it as a relation/ratio, distances marked in relation  between ME and YOU.

Question is belittling ME and placing more gravity on YOU , but maybe in a trap kind of way, like ill use it for my narrative, cause.

"Are we alone?"

Assertation has mostly ME and just a little bit of you, to make me seem empathic , like im talking to you but mostly im talking to hear myself speak.

"I am having trouble finding a job." / "I kicked ass at training today."

Declaration is like a cutting of the link between ME and YOU, its like i know this on my own, i dont need even an inkling of your approval.

"Im getting a job."

ANd a promise would be at least trying to get 50 50 me and you into the picture, but maybe really 70 30 or 80 20 since its ME promising YOU, so its like trying to get you to see youreself in an equality with me; asserting something that i assert will have continuity.

"I will love your forever and ever."

Question.
A question is the outward expression that something is lacking driven by fear, Since nothing is ever lacking and fear is unreal, there is no question of a question. It follows that there would be no answer to the non-question. My answer to your question is then a paradox.

Ex. How long will we be here?  Nobody has the answer to that you scared piece of ****, shut up and eat your gruel.

Assertion.
An assertion is the outward expression of certainty. Since no one can know, nor be certain of anything it follows that there is no such thing as an assertion. The assertion I have just made creates a paradox.

Ex. “Jed McKenna’s an arrogant prick”    How can someone who’s not even real be anything you arrogant prick?

Declaration.
A declaration is an outward expression of the Self, since the Self is an illusion it follows that a declaration of self would be illusory as well. Any perceived paradox is illusory too.

Ex. “I’m Done.”  Nice try dips h i t, relax and drink this coolaid, you’ll be T/R’d in about 10 minutes.

Promise
A promise is a pact made by an illusory Self to an illusion within a dream. or in other words it’s a no thing made by a no thing to a no thing within a no thing. Therefore nothing.

Ex. "I promise I’ll be faithful”   Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!  And I promise there’s nothing to be faithful to.

Dear Jed,

I figure that the one who is reading this is the same one
who is writing this.
What's the use in defining? :-X

Love you
Gwen

No use inherent in anything, just make it up as you go...

1. A question: searching for something out of a lack, supposing that the answer will be satisfactory.
Examples: What do I expect?

2. An assertion: uttering something you think/feel/believe is true.
Example: I KNOW it!

3. A declaration: uttering something that seems of great value and is placed beyond doubt.
Example: I will not rest until T/R

4. A promise: saying you will (or will not) act/behave/be in a way that seems good (or bad) to self or other
Example: i will not bother you with futile questions, assertions, declarations and promises ever again, promised..

Now what? Question.. I lack certainty.. Assertion.. is this true? Who is lacking? Questions..

question: am i the root?
assertion: i am not the root
declaration:  am is the root and substrate; i is the striving
promise: further

1.) a question

= answer, identifies the current state
"What do I need to do?" (nothing)

2.) an assertion

~ belief, indicates how you limit/define yourself or others
"Jed McKenna is awake"

3.) a declaration

~ judgment, you presume to know what is happening
"I can read aura's" (that's an awesome and useful delusion)

4.) a promise

limitation projected into the future, caused by the belief there is someone there to maintain the promise
"I will do self-inquiry every morning" (for the rest of your life)

it's all wonderfully meaningless and empty.
but I guess you need to ask a question, make an assertion, a declaration, and a promise to see that.

Addendum:

What I wrote is not my own experience, it's what I thought I was supposed to reply a few minutes ago.

I can say nothing that is true.

And yet I keep trying  :-\

I interpret Jed's post like so:

Stop putting so much effort into writing in a witty, humorous, wordy prose style.  Just say what you need to say and stop trying to impress.

Still waiting on a reply to my depression post.  Thanks.

For me at this moment:

All 4 are the minds attempts to gain control and ignore Unknowing.

1) the mind saying "I want to know because it will give me something."  Ex: What am I?
2) the mind saying "I think I know, and want others to see me in this light."  Ex: "Everybody should get along"
3) the mind saying "I know better than you."  Ex: "All men are created equal"
4) the mind lying to control another ego. Ex: "I will always be there for you."

1) Where Am I?
2) I Am Here
3) I AM Here Now
4) I will Always Be Here Now

1.) a question
"Why am I not done yet?"
Shows where I am stuck.  Re-exam the assumptions.

2.) an assertion
3.) a declaration
"I am working on my self."
I cannot tell these two apart. To me, they are both expressions of what I believe.

4.) a promise.
"I will keep at it until done."
It's absurd. See the absurdity of it when I make a promise.
