Being new here and seeing this pop up I found the original post and tried the practice a few times going back and forth from creating the perceiver of the percieved to just perceiving.  I am an excellent student! <-- me making a temporary self :D

Without the attempt to differentiate a self, sounds and feeling of openness and gratitude intensified  (Like sticking my head out of an open window as opposed to looking through the window pane.)  Unattached to a me definition, thinking becomes another ingredient in a swirling soup of perception.

As my focused moved outward my sense of having a body disolved and sensation merged into the perception soup.  Whatever is focused on intensifies and whatever else seems present goes to a fuzzy periphery or disappears from perception - this seems obvious... that's how focus works.

Very cool technique.  I did this for about 15 minutes and look forward to playing with it some more.
