Ego is built by saying yes to everything (accepting all lies as truth).

Not much surprise in this, but I would take the opposite position.

What the most important things to a two year old.... to say, ''NO'' to darn near everything. He/she is beginning to construct an ego.

If you could say ''yes'' to everything, certainly not an easy task, you will find ego begins to diminish. Something I would suggest you try. Even say yes to ego... it only wants your love anyways.

Love ya, Jed.

On the other hand, we can say no to everything and still realize It? as in "not this, not this.." method which revolves around rejecting anything that arises as not believing in it.

That's certainly a valid technique... promoted by Nis at times...

The ego of each individual is not the representation of that individual, but of the whole Universe. Ego struggles for control over one's universe, desiring that all other individuals be his/her slaves. Ego suffers when others prove to be independent, outside his/her control, ego trying to impose limitations over all the other individuals. When all individuals have the same limitations (beliefs), everyone is happy.

Awakening is the worst thing that could happen to anyone. Knowing how harsh the reality is, would anyone be so inhumane as to help others awaken?

Dear Lian:

If it's so miserably what has you seeking it, and seeking it rather seriously?

Love ya, Jed

Hi Lian:

Consider this possibility, ego is a personal and individual thing, very different in you and others. It has different priorities and sensitivities, can be large and small, culturally driven, blah, blah, blah...  ??? ??? ???

Now Maya (which might be called the creator of the dream... loosely) exists in all the dreamed characters in order to be effective and consistent (a dream that is not consistent will have all the characters waking up and that just won't do).  :o :o :o

I know I blend them together as in Maya/ego but in my experiences and observations, this is more of a convenience than the reality of this human non-reality. It's just a language convention for my lazy linguistic inclination.  :-\ :-\ :-\

Have a look see for yourself.... and whatever you do... be cool. That's the Eleventh Commandment.  8) 8) 8)

Love ya, Jed.

I have no choice but to seek enlightenment. It is my deepest desire, coming from the truth within I guess.

Considering the individual ego and the universal ego (Maya), I believe they adapt to each other, functioning in unison.

Yes, my description doesn't preclude co-operation in this human experience. Plenty of that going on.

Life is only a program, a layer of illusion, noise covering the truth. If the program is running, one feels alive. If the program stops, one may see the desert of reality.

Interesting... but hardly the full story. As I have said before... patience. All will be revealed.

Things are not quite what they appear to be... yes, I'm sure some of you have already realized that.

Love ya, Jed.
