Jed Rant: Take time to adjust to this...
« on: September 30, 2017, 03:18:24 am »
Dear Members and Lurkers:

As a step on your journey, you will find yourself transitioning into a new kind of being... or non-beingness. It's a bit like a junkie coming down. Of course, to a junkie coming down the world will seem flat and ordinary, but staying a junkie is the road to illusion after illusio... and then... physical pain and ruin.

You only fear change and it will come some day, fear or no fear. How can one fear moving into what they are? It happens in most students at some point, but think about it.. fearing your core beingness... what you actually are... that's just Maya/ego kick back. Fear is an artificial barrier that is eventually seen for the nothingness it is.

Remember being young and falling off your bicycle. You skinned your knee and developed a scab. You went through some pain and then one day that scab came of (actually you picked it of... tsk tsk!). Underneath it was lovely fresh pink skin, completely new to the world... just like a baby. And that skin needed to get used to it's new reality, a new world. It was delicate and sensitive, but it was like a kind of birthing.

Some day you will end up completely clear of your stories, you will see through them all. When they lose their power over your appearance, the real fun begins. You start consciously creating a new world of play and fun... all with the background hum of joy. It's as close to eternal youth as one could imagine. A sameness exists but you are free within that sameness and you will learn to consciously create stories, better ones, more fun ones. As with all your previous stories they will never be real, but unlike your previous stories, you will no longer believe them.

A secret just for you... ''done'' is not ''done''. You are infinite and ''done'' is only the beginning. Like layers of an onion, the revealing continues, on it's own.

Enjoy your fear... it is the perfect indicator that a gem is just beneath it. The bigger that ''appearance'' of fear the bigger the gem. Trust allow it to take it's course. Why not, it's out of your hands at this stage. Of course it was always out of ''your'' hands.

Enjoy.

Love ya, Jed.

Hi Rob:

Thanks for your thoughtful post. I anticipate being here (just for you) for a long time. So, when stuck, write away. The better the question the better the answer... but that presupposes that there is an answer...

Love ya, Jed.

Hi Jed,

No one here, for the first time. Thank you for your willingness to assist the rest of us out of this nightmare/daymare, once in a while sweet dream.

I have felt the TERROR of what seemed like an inevitable (and the word in my head was) 'annihilation' during meditation in the past; and then there is an automatic, for lack of better words, catapulting back into the room I've been meditating in. Over the years the fear has been experienced as losing all control (which appears I don't actually have any), the first time the voice in the head said I'd be some holy roller knocking on doors. The fear has also been experienced as an inability to handle the truth---that Everything I've ever thought was the truth is NOT, and the shock of that would be too much to handle. The mind has also informed me, (and I've experienced this) that waking up is going to be terribly boring, and/or extremely peaceful as there seems to be only silence and absolutely no movement here. Over the years, the terror has been decreasing in it's intensity to a.......intense fear.

Thank you for the reminder that underneath the fear is a gem. When I sit with feelings of anger, hurt is always underneath that, and fear always underneath that, and love is always found underneath that---as long as I sit with it long enough. Still..unsure of how to get to that place you point to of enjoying the fear. I will work on that, well, actually, I don't know WTF I'll do really!!! It appears as though the only thing 'I' can really do is watch what happens---and I can only do that once in a while because I seem to be lost some'where' the rest of the time.

Thank you, again, for being here, Jed, and everyone else, too.

Thank you for sharing a piece of yourself with me and the rest of the world.

You are doing an excellent job of un-doing. DON'T stop.

Love ya, Jed.
