Settle into your experience and feel your physical sense. Is that apparent experience you? Nope, how could it be if you are experiencing it, or appear to be experiencing it. Try this also with hearing and seeing. Are any experiences ''you''? Spend some time with this.
The perceived is the perceiver which only leaves the verb perceiving. Perceiving is all that is happening. You may think you are perceiving a you, but how is that difference than a sensorial experience? Isn't that experience of a ''you'' even more flimsy than the experience of sensing?
Where does this leave ''us''. Simple... you are not, but this apparent universe is your self. All that you experience is self, that's why it's so challenging to step outside of it and view it (i.e., get it). Your sensory experience only appears to not be you.Who else could it possibly be? How could it be any other way?
Contemplating doesn't mean attempting to make sense out of this. It's more like you might contemplate little fish in an aquarium. Just watch in wonder, like a child. The seeker is the sought and the sought is the seeker.
Love ya, Jed.
