I am taking two or three days off to get over some tropical bug I have. Will get back as soon as I can.

Same here. Tropical bugs can be pretty nasty. Hopefully you can enjoy the ride.

When I first read about the tropical bug, I thought I need to wish you to get better but it became difficult, because there isn't you fighting against any tropical bugs. You've "trained" us well. It's impossible to wish you get better, because it's all illusion. Fear is right, you are the bug, just as everyone else, if there was a bug, or anyone else, it's all about the level where it's looked at. But there is that something that has no confines and over there we are all same. On that level there's just love and no one to express it to anyone. But on the level of illusion I really want to wish you get better.

Being called a ''tropical bug'' is possibly the highest compliment I have every received. Can I anticipate some modest trophy, or perhaps CNN Bug of the Year Award.

Just as an aside, Google Aki Ra, he was a CNN Hero and I've spent some time with him here and supported him in a modest way. Just reading what he does only lightly dusts over the realities of his life. If you think you have lived with danger, I can tell you it's nothing compared to this guy and if you ever think you have done something special in the world, I would also refer you to this dude. I have very, very few idols, but he is one.

Dear k,

The question of why and the assumption that there is a Jed and that he needs something will soon be gone if you stick around here for a while although it may hurt a little but its totally worth the ride.

I spent just a little time in Siem Reap about 13 years ago and was just stunned at the number of people missing arms and legs due to landmines...wasn't familiar with Aki Ra until your comment.  Can't imagine a much more worthy endeavor than spending your time removing undetonated landmines.  Thanks for sharing.
