Jed Rant: What gets ''enlightened''???
« on: September 23, 2018, 03:27:04 am »
Dear Lurkers, larps, members, etc:

Enlightenment/T/R is NOT for you, it doesn't happen to you, has nothing to do with you. That's the main reason it's so difficult to talk about in anything but abstractions, metaphors, allegories or by negatives (not this, not that). This is also why, when asked what he gained from enlightenment, Buddha reportedly responded with ''absolutely nothing'''.

Here is the process as I experience it and Nis described better than I. By intense focus on one's sense of ''I am'' one eventually realizes that you are just awareness. By focusing on awareness one is eventually lead to consciousness and that is what is liberated/enlightened. Everything you do is for consciousness. Liberating consciousness from the restriction of you thinking will lead to the realization that Truth is. Is all that True? You'll have to find out for yourself or your Self.

Love ya, Jed.

Does unconsciously dwell on the sense of I Am still work?

How does one unconsciously dwell on anything. I think you meant consciously.

Anything at all can ''work'' but some actions are certainly more efficient.

Try it and see what ''you'' get.
